他的作品多次在国内外大展中展出，并荣获众多奖项，颇受媒体的关注和国内外朋友的喜爱。1998年和2002年分别出版了两部个人作品集。同时，作品荣获了六项外观设计专利和一项表面机理的发明专利，此专利荣获国际专利博览会金奖。 Born In 1944 in Jixian county,Tianjin,Mr.Yu Qingcheng had a frustrated childhood and youth time,which offered him an indissoluble bond with clay.From 1977 he started his career as an clay sculptor,and later in 1983 he entered Tianjin Rrts College for further study.From 1990 up to today,he indulged himself in his clay sculpture creation,while being the director of Yu Qingcheng Clay Sculpture Exhibition Hall.He is a member of the Chinese Folklore Society,member of the Tianjin Artists Society,and was a member of the Ninth CPPCC.In 1988 he got the title of "Folk Arts Pioneer" from the Ministry of Culture,and later in June 1996 he was entitled "Master of Folk Arts" from the UNESCO. 于庆成1944年出生于天津蓟县。坎坷辛酸的童年和青年时代使他与泥土结下了不解之缘。1977年开始走上创作生涯。1983年进入天津美术学院深造。1990年起至今在石趣园风景区从事泥塑艺术创作研究，并任《庆成泥塑馆》馆长。他先后被选为中国民协会员、天津美协会员、中国工美协会塑雕学会会员，北京工美协会理事，第九届、十届全国政协委员。1988年荣获文化部授予的“民间美术工作开拓者”称号，1996年联合国教科文组织授予“民间工艺美术大师”称号，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。
